Vampirella, seen here in her now synonymously iconic pose, firm, authoritative stance and commanding gaze, is perhaps the most memorable of Vampirella's appearances. First designed by José González in 1969 and later in September 1972's Super Special Issue, one of the many collected annuals of Vampirella, the work also marked the introduction of Carol de Haro as the real life model for Vampirella, appearing on covers and in comic strips throughout the 70's. Now, taking the striking image that José González is best known for, X PLUS has created the pose in immaculate detail, from the individual strands of hair and subtle musculature, to the signature vampire bat perched atop Vampirella's outstretched, delicate hand. As a welcome embellishment, Vampirella has an entirely new, but particularly thematic base to stand upon. A mound of bones and skulls rest at her feet. Upon closer inspection, fans may notice that these aren't humanskulls, but ones belonging to fellow vampires, with the telltale hint of fangs on each. Legion, the fearsome extraterrestrial lifeform that arrived on Earth with a meteor and clashed violently with Gamera, is now available as a 1/700 scale plastic model kit. Measuring approximately 20 cm in height and 29 cm in length, the kit faithfully captures Legion's immense size and powerful form in fine detail. In particular, special attention was given to sculpting the lower body and legs that support its massive frame, to convey a strong sense of power. When displayed alongside the separately sold 1/700 scale Gamera (1996) or in a diorama of the same scale, you can enjoy an even greater sense of Legion's size and impact. Transparent parts are used for the eyes on either side of the head and the egg chamber on its abdomen, adding an extra layer of enjoyment.

From the soft vinyl figure series "Yuji Sakai Modeling Collection," created and produced by Yuji Sakai, Godzilla (2001) makes a return-based on the 2001 film Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack. In this film, Godzilla's white eyes and menacing appearance shocked fans, setting this version apart from previous incarnations. Yuji Sakai has faithfully recreated this Godzilla in a pose that evokes the original 1954 Godzilla. The pose is based on a still photograph that Sakai particularly liked and had long wanted to sculpt. The figure's brownish coloring is based on the actual suit used in the film, and this piece is a passionately crafted work brought into soft vinyl form. The original sculpt was converted from cast to wax to create a master mold. All production pieces are formed using this single master mold to minimize wear from soft vinyl molding and to preserve intricate details as much as possible. The paintwork was supervised by Sakai himself and reproduced using techniques optimized for soft vinyl. Don't miss this opportunity.
