This 1/4 scale statue captures her dual blades—tempered by an unshakable composure forged in brutal trials, and driven by a vengeance she cannot erase. Her dignified yet shadowed visage is rendered with naturally lustrous eyes and finely detailed skin texture. A well-worn hat is detachable, and an additional head part is included to portray her unmasked, without the Onryo mask. From the Onryo armor that conveys the feel of silk, to her mother’s shamisen, the obi bearing the names of her foes, and the fur pelt made with faux-fur material—every element pursues realism. A broken ginkgo branch. A blade driven into the ground. The specially designed base, inspired by her unforgiving life, is crafted down to the smallest details, from shifting leaf tones to differences in the hamon. The wolf’s rich coat and powerful frame are finished with a striking sense of wildness. Its expression, bowing to none, feels as though it reflects Atsu’s very soul.
