Based on the play "The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up" by British writer Sir James Matthew Barrie, Peter Pan is the 14th movie in the Disney Animated Canon, originally released in 1953. Although he wasn't a huge success at first, it is still considered to be one of Disney's most popular movies of all times and considered to be Disney's most commercial film to this day, with a sequel and six spin-off movies of Tinker Bell, besides popular children show.
