Alongside his counterpart, the astromech droid R2-D2, C-3PO constantly found himself directly involved in pivotal moments in the timeline of the galactic history. C-3PO was build from spare parts by Anak\u0002in Skywalker, a human slave who lived in Mos Espa, a city on the Outer Rim world of Tatooine. C-3PO's memory was erased, though R2-D2's memory was not. C-3PO and R2-D2 were assigned to the Alderaan cruiser Tantive IV, where they served senator Bail Organa for 19 years. At some point during this time, C-3PO's right leg was fitted with mismatched painting. The pair then became embroiled in the Galactic Civil War when Leia Organa of the Rebel Alliance entrusted them to bring a copy of the Death Star plans to the Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi on Tatooine. After meeting Luke Skywalker and the smuggler Han Solo, the droid helped rescue Princess Leia from the Empire's Death Star. Completely conscious about her beauty, enhanced by pheromones and a unique biology, Poison Ivy is portrayed as a seductive sociopath who believes her duty is to protect The Green, although her methods are destructive. The only person by whom Ivy shows genuine affection is Harley Quinn, with whom she developed a special relationship in which they are both portrayed as partners in crime, friends, and sometimes lovers. Created by Robert Kanigher, she first appeared in Batman #181, in 1996. Kanigher created Poison Ivy inspired by model Bettie Page, giving her the same haircut and southern accent. Pamela studied advanced botanical biochemistry in college together with the scientist Alec Holland, who later had his consciousness and memory tied to the Swamp Thing, and was instructed by Dr. Jason Woodrue, who became the supervillain Floronic Man.
