Vendor: Weta WorkshopThe site of an ancient battle, the grey wetlands between Mordor and Emyn Muil are a labyrinthine bog of sodden ground and choked pools. No bird call cuts the windless air, nor the tail of any fish disturbs the weedy ponds. The Dead Marshes they are called, a stagnant morass, where only the foolish or desperate dare pick a wary way. In this dank swamp the dead warriors of long ago lie as they fell: Orcs, Elves and Men. Cold flames flicker over their unnaturally immutable remains and lifeless white eyes beckon travellers to a watery doom. With no other way open, Sam and Frodo must make their way through the marshes with Gollum as their guide. Mount Doom is their goal, and the One Ring their precious charge: a quest demanding secrecy and stealth. The Hobbits must trust the word and eye of their treacherous advisor, who has been this way before and knows its secret ways. Yet with each step the Ring weighs heavier on Frodo and the eldritch magic of the mire calls out to him, drawing him to the water, where green hands hang ready to pull him under, dragging him down to a cold wet grave. As we follow Frodo's journey with the ring, Sam and Frodo were far from home, far from friends, and far from safety. Although the young Hobbit had many brushes with death, the Dead Marshes were a visceral and physical manifestation of his decent into despair. Capitalizing on the environment's mystical nature, and undead spirits haunting the waters below, we wanted to display the two worlds that often overlap in Middle-earth: the magical and the mundane. Above the waters, Sam and Gollum desperately reach out to rescue the sinking Hobbit. Below the waters, wraiths pull Frodo further into the depths. Representing those two contrasting worlds in one scene proved pivotal in creating this collectible.Using every tool and technique available, exploring lighting options and paint schemes, experimenting with materials, and pushing the boundaries of how we make collectibles elevated this Masters Collection to a new level. The Dead Marshes invites you to explore every inch, view from every angle, with every component laid bare, to truly do the scene the justice it deserves. In an instant of terror and tension, no detail can be missed.Features:- Edition Size: 550 - Dimensions: 37 x 64 x 37 cm- 1:6 scale statue- Made from high quality polystone- Sculpted physically by Middle-earth veterans Brigitte Wuest, Gary Hunt and Shaun Bolton- Depicts both the natural and mystical sides of Middle-earth, as seen above and below the water- Including five characters and three unique materials, within a dynamic environment- Spirits of the dead can be seen beneath the water, tucked between the gnarled roots- Unique lighting combined with expert paint application brings the underwater action to life- LED powered, flickering flames and ambient underwater environment (universal power adaptor included)Please note: Due to the small edition size and the great demand for this item, allocations are possible. Please note: Due to the size of this item, additional shipping costs will apply. Vendor: Weta WorkshopFrodo knows his task; his mind is set. He is a Ringbearer; guardian of the One, and if he cannot find a way, no one will. The road to Mordor lies before him, and alone he will go on, for himself, for the Ring, and for all people. Hundreds of miles from the Shire, Frodo Baggins stands at the water's edge, gazing west. His thoughts turned inward, Frodo does not hear the sounds of battle among the trees on the slopes behind him, where his friends fight to buy his escape from the relentless Uruk-hai. Only now, in the heavy stillness of this strange place, so far from home, does he understand how truly alone he is. FRODO BAGGINS, RINGBEARERIn a world of magic, monsters, wizards, and elves, Frodo may seem like a small and insignificant existence. Vendor: Weta WorkshopThe people of Rohan were known to outsiders as the flaxen-haired Rohirrim, or Horse-lords, in reference to the close affinity they enjoyed with their horses. Indeed, there were no finer riders among all the tribes of Men. The Eorlingas, they named themselves, as followers of the Line of Eorl, who founded the kingdom of Rohan.A proud people, they lived mostly in small settlements scattered across the plains of The Mark, as Rohan was also known. The greatest of which was Edoras, where King Théoden dwelt in the last days of the Third Age. During the War of the Ring, Théoden led the Rohirrim to Helm's Deep when they were betrayed by Saruman the White, and later lead a great host of Riders to the aid of Gondor where they helped save the city of Minas Tirith. The Rohirrim resisted Sauron, fighting alongside their Gondorian allies at the Black Gate, and affirmed their alliance in the years after through the marriage of the Lady Éowyn of Rohan to Faramir, Steward of Gondor. Each 1:4 scale Helm is made from polystone and comes in an edition of just 750.Accompanying your Limited Edition helm: an exclusive behind-the-scenes insert written by Weta Workshop senior concept designer and author, Daniel Falconer, detailing how the film version was brought to the big screen!Size: 6 x 14,5 x 6 cm

Vendor: Weta WorkshopThe process of making a film is oft an ever-changing journey. One such changed aspect was the helm worn by the Witch-king during The Return of the King. Whilst this first design was manufactured, and even had scenes shot, it was ultimately decided that its likeness to Sauron's own helm might be perplexing for the audience. Therefore, it was replaced with the Morgul Lord War Mask seen in the final cut of the film.Greatest of the Nazgûl was their leader, the Witch-king of Angmar. Once a mortal man lured by the promise of power, the former King of Men fell under the sway of Sauron until he was little more than an extension of the Dark Lord's presence, his own identity long forgotten. A formless wraith, fear was his greatest weapon, and it was said that by the hand of no man would he fall. For centuries he served his dark master, leading the campaign that saw Arnor destroyed in the north and bringing war to Gondor in the south. Even being sealed in a magically warded tomb could not contain the Witch-king, who was recalled from beyond the grave to serve his master again.

Vendor: Weta WorkshopImposing over the lands like a dark giant; a lone figure of dominating magnitude, striking awe and wonder at both its purpose and construction, stood the inimitable tower: Orthanc.Standing in the centre of the Ring of Isengard was a great stone tower of polished black. Hewn from a monolith of dark rock centuries ago by the arts long since forgotten, the Tower of Orthanc stood sharp and hard against a field of green trees and soaring snow-capped mountains. In the waning years of the Third Age it was home to the Wizard Saruman, and within its dark chambers he spent his days studying the ways of the enemy, that he might better understand and ultimately defeat him. A Palantír Saruman kept; one of the ancient seeing stones of Númenor. Many long hours the Wizard spent staring into this magical sphere, watching Sauron, believing himself wise and powerful, and resistant to the devices of his foe. Yet in truth Saruman's own pride and folly led him willingly into Sauron's trap, for he became enamoured with the Dark Lord's arts and craved his power. Through the stone his mind was twisted until he became a vassal of Mordor, and Orthanc, once a place of learning and beauty, was despoiled by Orcs, now a place of dread. Gone were the trees; tinder to feed the fires of industry that burned in pits around the tower, and the plains within the ringed wall were a scorched wasteland of ash where armies drilled and marched in prelude to making war upon those whom Saruman once named friends.FEATURES:- Open Edition;- Made from high-quality polystone;- 360° environment design;- Recreated in meticulous detailing;- Digitally sculpted by 3D artist Daniel Holland.Size: 11 x 18 x 11 cm

Vendor: Weta WorkshopOnce a stronghold of Gondor, now a fortress of the kingdom of Rohan, Helm's Deep was carved into the feet of the White Mountains, below the towering Thrihyrne. The fortress of Helm's Deep was named for Helm Hammerhand, past king of Rohan, who brought his people to the keep during the Long Winter. Built to endure, the Deep was nestled in a gorge, flush along the mountainside, and was a place where the people of Rohan could seek refuge for long periods of time, as was Théoden's plan when he led the Rohirrim there in anticipation of Saruman's attack. Spanning the valley was the Deeping Wall; a face of impenetrable stone, save for a small culvert at its base. Saruman would send an army of ten thousand Uruk-hai to wipe out the woefully outnumbered Rohirrim, and while Théoden had reckoned on the stone of the stronghold to protect them, he had not counted on the cunning of the Wizard. Ladders and giant ballistae flung grappling hooks with which to haul them up against the Deeping Wall, whilst Uruk-hai armed with explosive devices targeted the small culvert at the wall's base, breaching defences hitherto deemed impermeable. While the fortress was under siege, Éowyn led Rohan's vulnerable to shelter within the Glittering Caves of Aglarond, behind the Deep. Surrounded by shimmering crystals and mineral pools the refugees were forced to bide the conflict, not knowing the fate of their kin in the battle, or that which awaited them; for good or ill.FEATURES:- Limited Edition;- Depicts the iconic fortress of Helm's Deep;- Made in celebration of the 20th anniversary of The Two Towers;- Hand sculpted and model made by Weta Workshop senior model maker Leonard Ellis;- Illumination brings the environment to life;- Includes a cut-away cross section of some of the keep's rooms and the Glittering Caves;- Created using reference to the original shooting bigatures, set plans and on-set photography.Size: 55 x 27 x 40 cm

Vendor: Weta WorkshopAmong the threads of story that almost made it to the screen was a version of the screenplay of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers in which Arwen of Rivendell fought at the battle of Helm's Deep. Costumes were made and props built, including a helm of exquisite design, which the Elven maiden would have found in the armouries of Rohan. The daughter of the Elf Lord Elrond, Arwen had betrothed herself to Aragorn, a mortal man raised in her father's home of Rivendell. Arwen's love for Aragorn ran counter to Elrond's hopes she would take ship and leave Middle-earth with the rest of her kin to sail into the West. There she would live for eternity with her family. By choosing to stand with Aragorn and remain in the world of men, Arwen surrendered her infinite Elven grace, becoming mortal, like him; forever sundered from her father and everlasting kin beyond death. The film adaptations of JRR Tolkien's beloved books went through many changes in the multi-year journey from the page to the screen. One of the story threads that underwent changes throughout production was the role of Arwen. In one version of the script Arwen fought at the Battle of Helm's Deep. This storyline persisted long enough into production that costumes and props were made, but ultimately the screenplay was rewritten to align more closely with Arwen's storyline in the books. Each 1:4 scale Helm is made from polystone and comes in an edition of just 750.Accompanying your Limited Edition helm: an exclusive behind-the-scenes insert written by Weta Workshop senior concept designer and author, Daniel Falconer, detailing how the film version was brought to the big screen!Size: 6 x 14 x 4 cm
