Wandering Middle-earth's winding paths is the travelling conjurer Gandalf the Grey, known by many names to many peoples in many lands, though few could guess the true extent of his powers or purpose. For centuries he slumbered. A vast, scaly weight pressing down upon the stolen wealth of Erebor&trade, breathing the stale air of a kingdom's tomb. In the darkness, the ragon and his hoard became one. Fifteen years ago, we built a Rivendell environment that found a home with collectors all over the world. It went out of production a long since, but demand never faded. You kept asking, so we decided to bring it back: but better.

REBUILT FROM THE GROUND UP

The original molds were long past saving. We tried to create a 3D scan, hoping to carry the old work forward, but the details fell short. Rather than compromise, we started from scratch and set out to create the finest Rivendell we possibly could.

What followed was extensive research and patient exploration of modern manufacturing, testing every technique available to us. The result is larger and more faithful than anything we have attempted before. More of the surrounding mountains are here. The landscape and waterways follow the films more closely than ever, while the architectural detailing reaches a level of fidelity we believe is the most exact achievable at this scale.

This version also includes the courtyard where the Council of Elrond took place, the ground on which the Fellowship is formed, and the fate of the Ring is decided. This location has never before been physically realised within the wider Rivendell location, and great care was taken to ensure its accurate placement. On screen, the valley was never given one fixed layout it changed from shot to shot to serve the story. To ground our version, we followed one of the early sweeping wide shots that reveals Rivendell in full.

This piece took us back to our roots to the pursuit of doing something well and striving for excellence. We hope you find it worthy of a place in your collection.

WHAT'S CORTEN STEEL? Corten Steel, also known as 'Weathering Steel,' is utilized in high-end exterior architecture, and for good reason. Exposed to the elements, within weeks it develops a patina that seals the steel and preserves it for decades. Additionally, it leaves behind a beautiful, even colouring that darkens over the years. Secondary paint systems, such as powder coating, quickly result in failure. Paint doesn't endure well outdoors - it cracks, allowing water to penetrate and rust to seep out. Opting for self-sealing Corten Steel is the path to achieving a long-lasting, excellent result. WILL THIS DAMAGE MY TREE? While any damage to a tree's bark can lead to potential infection, there haven't been any reports of damaged trees since Metalbird was introduced. In fact, arborists working with Metalbird believe that when the spike is driven firmly into the tree, the tree will seal around the hole to naturally protect itself. Amidst the ruin of a dark wizard’s keep, broken and blackened at the ending of a bitter battle, Merry and Pippin found themselves alone. Yet by chance, or perhaps by some gentler fortune, they came upon a storehouse, now masterless and soon to be ruined by flooded waters. There they sat among ruin and shadow, and finding leaf of a kind both rare and pleasing, lit their pipes and let the smoke curl upward into the dim air.

This 1:1 prop replica of the Staff of Gandalf the White begins where the original did: with a complete 3D scan of the screen-used staff, originally crafted by the 3Foot6 art department for The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Those scans served as the foundation for sculptor Leonard Ellis, who used them as direct reference to build the final digital model, ensuring the replica holds true to its source with complete fidelity. No detail has been left to interpretation.

Cast in polystone with a hollow metal tube at its core, the staff is engineered for the weight and feel of the real thing. Substantial in the hand and built to last in the collection.

His task was not yet done. After perishing alongside the Balrog, he returned to Middle-earth: not as he once was, but wielding even greater power as Gandalf the White. His transformation complete, rough-hewn robes gave way to pristine cloth, and gnarled wood to an elven-crafted, pure white staff.

Let the celebrations begin!With the loss of Gandalf and the breaking of the Fellowship, many would be forgiven for falling to despair, but not Aragorn. Most would call it a fool's errand, chasing down the roving band of elite Uruk-hai to rescue Merry and Pippin, but not Aragorn. Brave, tenacious, and kind-hearted, Aragorn proved time again the worth and strength of his character. Solidifying his position as a defender of peace within Middle-earth."While Frodo and Sam pick their way slowly towards Mordor through the labyrinthine Emyn Muil, Merry and Pippin are captives of the brutal Uruk-hai. Snatched during the raid at Amon Hen, the Hobbits are slung like luggage on the broad backs of the tireless Uruks, who run day and night through broken hills and across the rolling plains of Rohan. Faced with the choice of who to follow, Aragorn chooses to let the Ring of Power go in Frodo's care; vowing instead to pursue Merry and Pippin's captors and rescue the Hobbits, if he can.
