This design was implemented to improve on one of the largest shortfalls of the Bulk Arm series, particularly the Type a, which used high-durability armor that sacrificed mobility, making it difficult to coordinate with other land units such as combat vehicles.The helm was also changed from the Type a to better fit the requirements of this high-speed update. A more versatile model was utilized that prioritizes maneuverability with sensors specifically made for medium to close-range combat.In line with the concept of improved speed, the standard model as shipped from the manufacturer features the minimal armament of only a submachine gun and a heat knife.Another difference from the Type a is the expanded range of motion in the arm frames, which allows for a greater range of tactical maneuvers in close-quarters combat.
