Liberty Alliance realized the need to take back the underground tunnels and hastily developed a HEXA GEAR unit with the express purpose of taking on the task.In developing the unit, the wreckage of the destroyed Hidestorm was recovered and its frame was repurposed and reused. However, as there was little prospect of reproducing the capabilities of the VIC Blade, or controlling or disabling it, the next best countermeasure was taken.
